Gotta love the classic cars. Whether it is a muscle car or one of those sleek and stylish models from a few decades ago.
In any case they are well worth taking care of properly. If your car is just sitting in the garage and is only for show, you may not worry much about insurance, but if you drive the car at all then it’s time to think about classic auto insurance.
This type of coverage is not the same for a classic car than it is for your family’s other vehicles. It can be a good idea to understand those differences before you start forking out money.
One of the main differences is that your classic auto insurance assumes that you don’t drive this car that often. Usually its not the time of vehicle you use for groceries or the school run.
With classic auto insurance it’s important to notify your agent of how often you drive the car, and like in anything you need to be honest.
If you’re not up front with your agent when shopping for classic auto insurance and they find out that you drive the car much more than you told them this could actually void your policy. And this means losing big money.
